In the story What She Sees, a young girl grows up with a magical mirror. She and her mirror grow apart as their opinions of Girl diverge. Healing is found when Girl is able to accept her body in its imperfect state and see what mirror had seen all along, “A radiant girl, ready to take on the world.”

This book was published in hopes that the story would spark a conversation between parents and their children about body image. It includes a reflection activity at the end of the book that parents can do with their children.
